The Mountaintop is a fictionalized, fantastical take on the final moments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This humorous and heartbreaking story is about Dr. King’s strange encounter with a mysterious maid who enters his room in the Lorraine Motel in 1968.
African-American actors are needed to fill the following roles
Martin Luther King Jr. (30’s – 40’s): The warm, charismatic, and very human figure behind the immortal legacy of his Civil Rights work.
Camae: (20’s) A funny, flirtatious, and very confident woman who doesn’t seem to fit in with the time and place she occupies. She appears to know a lot more about Dr. King and his legacy than a young maid should.
No Monologues will be necessary. Actors will be reading from the script.
