The Heartbreaking True Story of the Woman Who Defined Energy

February 8th-17th

Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm

“Emilie,” written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Laura Darling, takes place in the mind of the brilliant 18th Century physicist during the final moments of her life. Throughout the course of the play, we are introduced to her loves, from the study of kinetic energy and mathematics, to her famous paramour, the philosopher Voltaire, to offspring both creative and literal. As her scientific passions war with her personal ones, Emilie finds herself reconciling Newtonian physics as she also reconciles the choices she’s made in her various relationships.
